PRI provides real estate investment advisory, management and administrative support services to PNC Bank (or Trustee) in connection with the BIT. In its role as investment advisor, PRI is responsible for, among other things, identifying prospective transactions, underwriting those transactions, performing due diligence, recommending potential investments to the Trustee, record keeping, and asset management. PRI uses its knowledge of real estate to build and manage a portfolio of diversified, well-leased and well-located assets, positioning the BIT for growth and competitive performance.

The AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust (BIT) began operations July 1, 1988, as an open-end, commingled group trust. One of the BIT’s principal objectives in making real estate investments is to generate competitive income and long-term capital appreciation while protecting investor’s capital and providing retirement security for union members.
